Whitney Houston – Queen Of The Night

Posted in Whitney Houston on August 21st, 2011 by H Bradley

The song reached number 1 on the Billboard Hot Dance Club Play, becoming Houston’s fifth number 1 dance single. It was released in several other countries, peaking at number 14 in the UK.
The music video for “Queen of the Night” is the full performance Houston gives in the motion picture The Bodyguard. In the film, the performance is interrupted by violence.
In live performances, the song’s arrangement is more faithful to the CJ MacIntosh mix.
This song was covered during the Believe Again Tour performed by Delta Goodrem at various locations throughout Australia in 2009. The 2009 X Factor contestants also performed this song on Sunday 18 October 2009 as a group performance. 2009 X Factor contestant Stacey Solomon who came third, performed this song on The X Factor Live Tour 2010.

Whitney Houston – Randoms

Posted in Almighty, Freemasons, Whitney Houston on April 14th, 2010 by H Bradley

The Nothing but Love World Tour is the ninth concert tour by American pop, R&B and soul singer Whitney Houston. It is her first tour in over 10 years and will support her recently released seventh studio album I Look to You. The tour will visit Asia, Europe and Australia.

On February 22, the opening night of the Australian leg of Houston’s tour suffered scathing reviews from fans and critics alike. Her night in the Brisbane Entertainment Centre was very poorly received, with many fans reportedly walking out in the beginning of the show. Houston vocal condition was described as croaky and hoarse, with many fans claiming they would demand a full refund. One fan said “She couldn’t entertain a dead rat”, while another said it was the worst concert of their life and deemed the show, laughable. Another action which came under fire from fans was when Houston paused her signature song I Will Always Love You for many moments while she towelled herself, and went to get a drink of water. Houston was said to be disoriented and in poor vocal and mental condition, as she couldn’t remember her band’s name.

If anyone wants the almighty remix then please email me h.bradley@djspook.com and i’ll point you in the right direction.

Whitney Houston – Step By Step

Posted in Whitney Houston on June 23rd, 2009 by H Bradley

Whitney recorded and co-produced, with Mervyn Warren, the film’s accompanying gospel soundtrack. The Preacher’s Wife: Original Soundtrack Album. included six gospel songs with Georgia Mass Choir that were recorded at the Great Star Rising Baptist Church in Atlanta. Houston also duetted with gospel legend Shirley Caesar. The album sold six million copies worldwide and scored hit singles with “I Believe in You and Me” and “Step by Step”, becoming the largest selling gospel album of all time. The album received mainly positive reviews. Some critics, like USA Today, noted the presence of her emotional depth, while The UK Times said “To hear Houston going at full throttle with the 35 piece Georgia Mass Choir struggling to keep up is to realise what her phenomenal voice was made for.”
Her record label has confirmed the date for Whitney Houston’s comeback album has been set for a September 1st 2009 release.
