“The Best” is one of Turner’s most successful and popular singles worldwide. It peaked at number 15 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and made it to the top five in the UK, peaking at number 5 and Germany, reaching number 4. Certain editions of Turner’s single also included the non-album track “Bold and Reckless”, produced by Rupert Hine.

“What’s Love Got to Do with It” is the second single (after “Let’s Stay Together”) released from Tina Turner’s fifth solo album Private Dancer. In Europe it was the third single following Turner’s cover of The Beatles’ “Help!”. “What’s Love Got to Do with It” became Turner’s most successful single.It also ranked #38 on Songs of the Century. It was the 17th best-selling single of 1984 in the UK. The song was originally recorded by UK pop group Bucks Fizz, but unreleased until 2000. In 1993, the song’s name was used as the title for What’s Love Got to Do With It, a biographical film about Tina Turner’s life.

“We Don’t Need Another Hero (Thunderdome)” is the hit theme song to the 1985 film Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome. Written by Terry Britten and Graham Lyle, the song was performed by Tina Turner, who also played the role of Aunty Entity in the movie, and produced by Britten.
“We Don’t Need Another Hero (Thunderdome)” was released at the peak of Tina Turner’s musical career, on the heels of her multiplatinum Private Dancer album and its many hit singles. The song’s lyrical content and theme is mostly a statement of anti-war and anti-violence. The version played during the film differs from the version on the album and single. The song was also released in an extended, six-minute-plus 12″ version, included on the soundtrack album.

“When The Heartache Is Over” is a hit single released by Tina Turner in 1999. The song, produced by Brian Rawling & Mark Taylor – the team behind Cher’s 1998 hit “Believe”, was released as the lead single to Turner’s album Twenty Four Seven. It was a considerable hit both on the pop and dance charts, reaching #10 in the UK and #3 on the US Dance charts, and it also peaked at #3 in Finland and #1 in Egypt.
