More than twenty years since she first topped the charts, pop legend Lonnie Gordon finally returns from the Las Vegas stage with a re-working of her classic, Black Box produced single ‘Gonna Catch You’. Re-imagined for 2009 by current lords of the dance floor, the Wide Boys (fresh from their production work with Pussycat Dolls, Ciara and Girls Aloud) ‘Catch You Baby’ is already causing a storm amongst club aficionados and radio execs alike. Released to download, as well as on CD and 12” in July, the single will include a stellar remix package, with contributions from 7th Heaven, PWL luminary Pete Hammond and the mighty Steve Pitron & Max Sanna.
For nearly two decades Lonnie Gordon graced the dance charts with such worldwide smashes as the Stock, Aitken and Waterman produced ‘Happening All Over again’ and ‘Bad Mood.’ Known for her outrageous sense of style, and as a goddess of Dance music with limitless energy, the New York diva has been singing since the tender age of six.
The last seven years has seen Lonnie become a mother and perform as the lead vocalist and narrator for the phenomenally successful ‘Zumanity’ show, another side of Cirque du Soleil in Las Vegas. Working with Cirque was a bold career move that offered her an opportunity to showcase her charisma and formidable vocals to sell out crowds every night. The show provided the catalyst for Lonnie to return to the stage and reclaim her rightful place in the spotlight and, in 2009, she’s gonna catch you all over again….
